Beacon Upgrade Plan

In December 2018 the Board of Directors took the decision to undertake major work to upgrade the Beacon system, representing a commitment to investing in the Beacon service for the future, and recognising what a vital support the Beacon system has become for many U3As.

The first step has been to form a Working Group which will oversee the project. This Working Group has begun a consultation, seeking views from all U3As about how the administration of their U3A can be streamlined. The consultation will also draw on the extensive experience of those in the Beacon Team and other volunteers from across the U3A movement.
