Networks are informal groupings of u3as usually local to each other. Representatives from each u3a meet to share ideas, events, speakers, and training sessions, to discuss issues and to support each other.

Use of Beacon by Networks/Regions
The Beacon System is an online management system. It was designed to support the operation and administration of individual u3a organisations but has now been adapted to support multiple Networks/Regions of u3as. Each Network/Region can only administer and view its own data.
Beacon information is held securely in one single location and ensures that the processing of data complies with data protection regulations.
